Citrix (GotoMeeting / GotoWebinar integration)

Goto Meeting

With GotoMeeting integration, you can create online class events from EduBrite. These events can be just like any other events you can create in a group or in a course session. Meeting creation happens automatically in Citrix and meeting id is populated in the event's information. You can subscribe users to the event or let them self subscribe as usual. At the time the meeting is set to begins, participants would get the meeting Join button on the events page. All events also show up on the calendar.

To enable GotoMeeting integration do the following

Step 1

Add following custom properties in the site, by going to Site Admin->Site Details->Customization

Step 2

Add following custom user properties in the site, by going to the Site Admin->CMS

Step 3

Enter your GotoMeeting credentials by going to the Accounts & Settings

Step 4

Create a online class event

Step 4.1 (select the online class event)

Step 4.2 (Select the Meeting option from the Citrix session type, in case you have enabled both webinar and meeting features)

Step 4.3 (Once saved, a meeting is created in GotoMeeting, and meeting id gets stored with the event)

To enable GotoWebinar, do the following

Step1

Step 2

Add following custom user properties in the site, by going to the Site Admin->CMS

Step 3

Enter your GotoWebinar credentials by going to the Accounts & Settings

Step 4

Create a online class event, by importing the upcoming webinar from the GotoWebinar account. Note that at present Citrix APIs do not allow webinar event creation using API, but you can import an existing webinar you have already created in Citrix, and manage its enrollments (participants) completely from EduBrite.

Step 4.1

Similar to the previous section

Step 4.2

Select the webinar option and click Next (note that you would be importing the existing webinar in next step)

Step 4.3

From the list of webinar (which are upcoming) select the one you like to import, and click Next

One the webinar is imported, your event would get created and would get assigned the meeting id from Citrix

Step 4.4

You can subscribe the users to event, or allow self enrollment or make the event available for purchase via course catalog. Each time a participant is added to the event he/she would be also added in the Citrix as a registered participant. A correlation ID (registration id) from Citrix is imported and gets associated with the participant info in EduBrite (although its transparent to the user themselves).

Next, the participants would be able to Join the event just as explained in the previous section related to GotoMeeting
