This tab allows to define the scoring related properties applicable at test level. Some of the properties (e.g. “Points per question” and “Penalty points per question”) can be overridden at the question level as needed.
Fields / Properties
Field |
Description |
Total Points |
Total points in the test that can be scored by a candidate |
Passing Points |
Points needed to pass the test, note that this field is only used when the test is used inside an Exam |
Percentage % of total |
This setting should be enabled, if passing points are specified in percentage. If not enabled passing points are considered as exact passing point. |
Points per question |
Points for each question as default. The points can be overridden at question level |
Penalty Points per question |
Points which will be deducted for the wrong answers. The points can be overridden at question level |
Partial Scoring for multiple Choice Questions | Partial scoring can be turned On/Off for multiple Choice Questions |
Partial Scoring for Column Matching (ST/MT) Questions | Partial scoring can be turned On/Off for Column Matching Questions |
When to use "Recalculate"?
If the sum of all points for all questions don't match with the specified total points for the test then a message like below would be displayed. In that case, click recalculate button and it will correct the total points at the test level.
