The Test Content tab allows for adding, changing, and removing questions for the test or survey.

Question Text Area

To define the question text.

Question Choices Area

To define choices for the current question.

Allows navigating and displays the type of question.

Bold Text

  

Bold the text.

Italics Text

 

Italicize the text.

Underline Text

Underline the text.

Remove formatting

Remove any text formatting (bold, italic ...).
Insert special character (symbol)

Insert math characters or special business symbols like ©, ®, etc.

Add Question After

Add the question after the current highlighted question. An option to select the question type is presented. See details in the Question Type section.

Add Question Before

Add the question before the current highlighted question. An option to select the question type is presented. See details in the Question Type section.

Add Passage

 

Mostly used in reading comprehension type of questions. Where one passage is displayed and more than one question is based on the passage.

Move Up   Move the currently displayed question or passage up in the sequence.
Move Down   Move the currently displayed question or passage down in the sequence.

Delete Question

 

Delete the current question.

Insert Attachment

  

Image, audio, video clip can be attached at question text or choice level

Text Color

  

To change the text color.

Delete the choice from the current question

Question Metadata

 

Metadata or attributes of a specific question. These are used to for generating tests, analysis, and reporting

Question Solution

Opens a new window, where the question's specific solution can be defined. User will see this solution in the detail report if the user is granted to have the access

Multiple Question Metadata

 

Metadata or attributes of the range of questions. These are used for generating tests, analysis, and reporting.

Upload Questions from Word Doc

 

Allows to upload questions from the word template

Import Questions   Allows to import questions from existing tests and append to the end.
Import Questions   Allows to import questions from an existing test using the questions list and appends them to the end.

Field

Description

Mandatory to Pass A question can be marked as mandatory to pass question, user's test attempt result will enforce passing this questions along with passing score criteria. 
No Points Question

A question can be tagged as No points question, There wouldn't be any point for this question in overall test score and no points will be awarded on question's right or wrong answer. 

Points

By default, the question inherits the points defined at the test level (see Scoring Tab). Points defined here override the test level setting.

Penalty Points

By default, the question inherits the penalty points defined at the test level (see Scoring Tab). Penalty points defined here override test level setting.

Choice Randomization

Choice randomization can be specified only for SR and MR type of questions. Also, the radio buttons are visible only when the Choice randomization property at the test level (as specified in the Properties tab) is ON. This question-level property can be used to randomize all the choices, all choices except the last one (useful for questions having "All of the Above" / "None of the above" kind of choices), or disabling randomization completely for this question.

 

Survey Comments

For survey questions, you can also enable comments entry on a specific question by checking the checkbox. To enable comments on all questions, just go to the Properties tab and check the Enable Survey Comment checkbox.

The EduBrite Platform supports 14 types of questions. These question types are selectable when adding a new question. Please click here to see more details about question types.

Meta Data 

Metadata helps define the type of content that is in an individual question. Metadata is defined two ways:
1.    Click   to define the metadata for an individual question.

This is what the metadata screen looks like. Click on any metadata grouping and select the appropriate value.

2.    Click to define metadata for multiple questions at a time.

Change Log (Approval Log)

For viewing the approval or rejection activities for a test. The following screen appears when the user clicks the Change Log icon -
