Introduction

This Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how EduBrite collects, uses and safeguards any personal information you provide on the website www.edubrite.com and through the  EduBrite SaaS platform. We will collect and use personal information only in the ways disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

Scope

This privacy policy applies to only information we collect through your voluntarily submitted information like inquiry, trial signup, free account signup, signup on support.edubrite.com or any of our customer’s microsites who use the EduBrite SaaS platform.

We do not control which information a customer may choose to collect and store on their microsites, which are hosted by EduBrite. We also do not control which information may be collected by any 3rd party products and services that you integrate or enable in your microsite. We also do not control the privacy policies of our customers who use the EduBrite SaaS platform for their users.

Information you provide to us

We collect the following information when you signup for any of our services

  • Contact information such as name, email, phone number, company name, address, your preferences and profile information e.g. picture
  • Billing information when you purchase our product or service
  • User information is collected on any customer’s microsite hosted by EduBrite, which are completely determined by the customer.
  • Content and information you transfer by using the EduBrite SaaS platform like any files, online written content, issues posted via our support forum, filling out any online inquiry forms, online surveys, online polls, etc.

Information we collect via usage

We automatically collect the following information when you use any of our services or access our website

  • Date/time of access, IP Address, location, browser/device information, accessed urls, referring urls, url parameters, any posted data

We collect usage data via

  • Your direct access to our services, posted data via browsers, data sent from mobile apps, data sent from our add on such as Gilly, Cookies, Local and session storage, beacons, embedded images in content/email, url clicks etc.
  • Integration with tracking and analytics services e.g. Google Analytics
  • When any API calls are made to EduBrite platform services
  • Integration with 3rd party products and services such as – external content providers, external audio/video conferencing providers, single sign on providers, social networks, enterprise applications

Application / Customer Data

While using the EduBrite SaaS platform, you can upload content and submit other information, which gets stored on servers we fully manage. As a policy, customer content/data is considered private and we do not directly control what content and/or information is uploaded and stored. If a person’s information is uploaded in our system via any of our customer’s microsites, the person should get in touch with that customer in case they have any questions about it or want it to be modified or removed.

We will process and access the customer data only for the purpose of providing our service and necessary support for any technical issues or to resolve any general query by a customer or a user authorized by the customer.

How we use the information

The information EduBrite collects is used in a variety of ways: analyze the aggregate performance and usage metrics to improve EduBrite's SaaS platform, thus improving your experience with our products; to provide you the necessary support you request; to notify you about our platform updates; send you platform generated notifications as necessary and configured in the microsite you are using for training activities; to provide you the information you have requested; and to let you know about our products, services and webinars related to EduBrite SaaS platform.

Testimonials

We may display personal testimonials of satisfied customers on our website. With your consent, we may post your testimonial along with your name. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at privacy@edubrite.com.

Security

EduBrite follows industry best practices to ensure the security of the data we collect, process and transmit. Each customer and user can access their information by securely logging in to our platform using their username and password or by using any other integrated single sign mechanism enabled for their account. It is the customer’s responsibility to protect the security of the username and password and any single sign on configuration parameters such as authentication keys. All transmittal of sensitive data to and from our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (SSL) technology. Our servers are secured with server hardening techniques and employ multiple layers of firewalls.

EduBrite takes all reasonable efforts to guard your data, still due to the inherent nature of the Internet as an open global communications vehicle, we cannot guarantee that data, during transmission through the Internet or while stored on our systems or otherwise in our care, will be absolutely safe from intrusion by others, such as hackers. In addition, we cannot guarantee that any incidentally-collected Personal Information you choose to store with us is maintained at levels of protection to meet specific needs or obligations you may have relating to that information. Onward Transfer

When you access our platform from outside of the United States, data is submitted and transferred to our servers; and by using our platform you hereby consent to such transfer. Additionally, if you access our platform from the European Union, your personal data is transferred to the United States and maintained in compliance with applicable laws.

EduBrite may transfer personal information to companies that help us provide our service e.g. our hosting provider and backup infrastructure provider. The provisions in this Policy regarding notice and choice and the service agreements with our Customers cover transfers to subsequent third parties.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

EduBrite will not distribute or sell your data to a third party, except as disclosed in this policy. Our policy is not to disclose personally identifiable information to unrelated third parties unless required to do so by law or legal process. EduBrite, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy in extraordinary circumstances (such as national security, a bomb or suicide threat, or instances of suspected illegal activity) on a case-by-case basis.

Compelling Obligation - Although EduBrite will take reasonable measures not to disclose information about you or the contents of your communications, we may be compelled to do so in the good faith belief that such action is reasonably necessary (a) to comply with the law; (b) to comply with legal process; (c) to enforce these terms and conditions; (d) to respond to claims that any content violates the rights of third parties; (e) to facilitate the terms of an acquisition of EduBrite by, or a merger with, another company or (f) to protect the interests of EduBrite or others.

Choice

You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from EduBrite by using the unsubscribe link within each email. You can also email us to have your contact information removed from our promotional email list or registration database. Even if you opt out from receiving promotional messages from us, you will continue to receive application specific notifications from our platform regarding your use of the EduBrite SaaS platform. You can opt-out of some notification messages by logging on to your account. Any opt out requests we receive will be processed within thirty (30) business days after it is received.

You have the right to amend or update inaccurate or incomplete personal information, request deletion of your personal information, or request that we no longer use it. You may submit a request for access. Upon request, EduBrite will provide you with information about whether we hold any of your personal information. In order to exercise your rights above and/or submit inquiries or complaints with regard to our processing of your personal data, you may send a request to EduBrite by writing to this email address privacy@edubrite.com. We will respond to your request within thirty (30) days.

Access to Personal Information

You have the right to obtain our confirmation of whether we maintain personal information relating to you. Upon request, we will provide you with access to the personal information that we hold about you.

To request access to your personal information or to request us to correct, amend, or delete your personal information, please e-mail us at privacy@edubrite.com. Any such requests we receive will be processed within thirty (30) business days after it is received.

If your request is about your personal information maintained on a customer’s microsite who is using the EduBrite SaaS platform, then you need to contact the customer for such request as we do not directly control what information our customers collect.

Third Party websites / applications

EduBrite is not responsible for the practices employed by other applications/websites linked to or from the EduBrite platform, nor the information or content contained therein. When you use a link from the EduBrite to another website or application, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect and your actions/data exchanges are governed by the third party website /application’s policies.

Data Retention

We will retain personal information we process on behalf of customers for as long as needed to provide our platform services, subject to our compliance with this Policy. We may further retain and use the information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Our policy towards minors

We do not offer our platform and services to users less than thirteen (13) years of age. If you are a customer of the EduBrite platform and services, you must ensure that none of your users are less than thirteen (13) years of age as part of our platform’s terms of the user.

Changes

EduBrite reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. If material changes are made to this policy, we will notify you via the EduBrite support site (support.edubrite.com).
